DURHAM, N.C – University of South Alabama outfielder Travis Swaggerty was named to the USA Baseball 2018 Golden Spikes Award Preseason Watch List on Friday.
The preseason watch list is composed of 55 of the nation's top amateur players across high school and college baseball. A midseason watch list will be announced on April 10, and the semifinalist list will be revealed on May 21. USA Baseball will announce the winner of the 41st Golden Spikes Award on Thu., June 28, at a presentation in Los Angeles.
Swaggerty earned 2018 preseason first-team All-America honors from Baseball America, College Sports Madness, D1Baseball and the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association, and was a third-team preseason All-America selection by Collegiate Baseball.
