TROY, Ala. – Troy senior quarterback Kaleb Barker added another award to his already impressive list for the week when he was named the Allstate Sugar Bowl Manning Award Quarterback of the Week, the Manning Award announced Friday.
Barker was earlier named Sun Belt Offensive Player of the Week and earned a helmet sticker from the ESPN College Football Final crew after tying a Troy school record with six touchdown passes at Texas State last Saturday. His tally is the third most in the FBS this season and the second most in Sun Belt history.
The Decatur, Alabama native completed 30-of-43 passes for 363 yards in the game for his sixth 300-yard game of the season.
