SAN MARCOS, Texas – In front of a tournament-record crowd of 3,040, No. 1 Texas State took home the 2019 Sun Belt Conference Volleyball Championship with a 3-1 (26-24, 19-25, 25-21, 25-18) victory over No. 2 Coastal Carolina.
The Bobcats' win marked the fourth time in conference history that a team captured back-to-back regular-season and tournament titles.
Texas State now awaits its postseason fate with the NCAA Division I Women's Volleyball Championship Selection Show set for Sunday, Dec. 1 at 7:30 p.m. CT on ESPNU. The Bobcats will be making their third NCAA Tournament appearance as a member of the Sun Belt and 11th in school history.
