NEW ORLEANS - Second-seeded Texas State (23-8) is heading to the Sun Belt tournament final for the first time in program history after a 62-56 win over sixth-seeded Louisiana.
The backcourt duo of Taeler Deer and Toshua Leavitt combined for 41 of the Bobcats' 62 points. Deer led Texas State with 21 on 8-of-14 shooting while Leavitt totaled 20 points, 15 of which came on three-pointers. Leavitt has now upped her Sun Belt record to 133 all-time and ranks third in the NCAA this season.
