Ragin' Cajuns Bested by Golden Eagles in Midweek Match
HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Volleyball team fell in its first road contest of the 2017 season as Southern Miss landed a 3-0 (25-14, 25-10, 29-27) win on Wednesday at Reed Green Coliseum.
The Golden Eagles (4-1) finished with a 52-24 advantage in kills and hit .354 for the match. USM piled up 28 kills and limited the Ragin' Cajuns (1-2) to eight while opening a 2-0 lead. Louisiana hit its match-best in the third set with a .324 clip, but the hosts were able to collect 24 kills to keep pace and outlast the visitors.
