SAVANNAH, Ga. – Second-seeded Georgia Southern blanked third-seeded Appalachian State, 3-0, in the second semifinal of the 2018 Sun Belt Conference Men’s Soccer Championship at Floyd E. Morris Field.
With the win, the Eagles advance to the tournament’s championship match for the first time since 2014. That match, also played on Georgia Southern’s home field, was won 1-0 by top-seeded Hartwick.
The first goal of the match came in the 17th minute, fittingly in a matchup of the Sun Belt Co-Players of the Year.
