It looks like the independent future for New Mexico State is secure. Within the last 24 hours, the Aggies have announced home and home series with the Akron Zips and now the Nevada Wolfpack.
Beginning in 2021, New Mexico State will travel to Reno to play Nevada on October 9th. The following season, on September 17th, the Wolfpack will return the favor and play NM State in Aggie Memorial.
As members of the old Big West and WAC, NM State and Nevada used to play on a yearly basis but that has changed until now.
