MONROE, LA. - Appalachian State University women's basketball (4-6, 1-0 SBC) started off Sun Belt action the right way grinding out a 57-54 victory at ULM (6-5, 0-2 SBC) Thursday afternoon in Fant-Ewing Coliseum.
Kaila Craven (Southwest Randolph/Greensboro, N.C.) tied a game-high coming off the bench with 14 points on five buckets while Jones rounded out the leading scorers with 10 points (six at the free throw line) and a solid eight boards from the guard position. The backcourt duo led a a balanced attack of eight student-athletes that scored during the game. Story led the team with three assists to go along with eight points.
