The Sun Belt is one of two mid-major conferences that sports two teams in the Top 50 of the latest NCAA men’s basketball RPI: UTA (#35) and Arkansas State (#50). The West Coast Conference is the other (Gonzaga: #12, Saint Mary’s: #28).
Together We Rise
The Sun Belt is in a class of its own as a mid-major basketball league. It is the only mid-major conference that had both a first-round pick in the 2014 and 2015 NBA Drafts while also having a team win a game in the 2015 and 2016 NCAA Tournaments.
