PENSACOLA, Fla. - Little Rock erased a 14-point first half deficit to defeat Coastal Carolina, 75-64, in the First Round of the Sun Belt Conference Women's Basketball Championships at Pensacola Bay Center March 5.
Coastal Carolina led throughout the first half, carrying a 47-35 lead into halftime. However, Little Rock opened the second half on a 14-2 run to take the lead on a 3-pointer by Tia Harvey, 49-48, midway through the third quarter. The Chanticleers and Trojans battled through four lead changes over the next seven minutes before Teal Battle scored on a second-chance layup to put Little Rock in front, 60-59, with 6:46 to play.
