Jamey Chadwell’s first season at the helm of the #25 Liberty Flames has gone extremely well.
After already locking up a spot in next week’s CUSA championship game, Liberty finished the regular season with a 42-28 win at UTEP on Saturday. Liberty rushed for 441 yards in the win. That makes the Flames 12-0 with just the championship game to play prior to a bowl game.
The Flames are the third CUSA team to finish the regular season undefeated (2011 Houston, 1998 Tulane).
Liberty celebrated with local festivities, including a mariachi band upon returning to their locker room.
