Jarveon Williams has broken the program record for career rushing yards. The mark was set on a 6 yard run early in the second quarter against Rice today.
The previous record was 1,752, set by Williams’ predecessor David Glasco II in 2014. Williams has eclipsed that mark despite playing in eight less contests than Glasco.
Williams was only seven yards away from the feat after a 122-yard performance against Southern Miss last week, a game in which the entire team enjoyed a multi-record setting day.
With this mark, Williams now owns almost the entire lot of the program’s rushing superlatives.
