JAGS SWEEP DOUBLEHEADER FROM ULM TO CLINCH SERIES
MOBILE, Ala. – The University of South Alabama baseball team swept a doubleheader from Louisiana-Monroe Saturday at Stanky Field to clinch its fourth consecutive Sun Belt Conference series.
USA (20-7, 11-0 SBC) shut out ULM (10-17, 2-6 SBC) 13-0 in the series opener, followed by a 10-4 win in game two. Jaguar right-handers Kevin Hill and Hunter Soleymani each turned in a quality start, while the USA offense pushed across 23 runs in two games.
"We have some younger kids really swinging the bat well," USA head coach Mark Calvi said.
