NEW ORLEANS - With the eventual landfall of Hurricane Florence expected by the end of the week, several Sun Belt Conference teams have had to alter scheduled contests. The forecast calls for an extreme weather event heading into the weekend that will affect multiple institutions and their athletic programs along the East Coast.
Below are the impacted contests that were scheduled for this weekend and any makeup or schedule changes that have been agreed upon by both parties:
FOOTBALL
Coastal Carolina defeated Campbell, 58-21, on Wednesday in a game originally scheduled for Saturday. The two teams agreed to move up the contest to avoid any lingering effects from Florence.
