Georgia State senior defender Lukas Joyner netted two goals in the Panthers’ 3-1 victory over Winthrop. Joyner hit the equalizer in the 50th minute off a cross from senior forward Kwaku Adu-Boahene and scored again in the 58th minute to give the Panthers a two-goal advantage. Defensively, Joyner anchored a Georgia State defense only allowed one goal in two matches. The Panthers rank tied for first in the Sun Belt in goals allowed with four and are second in goals against average at 0.
