Tookie Brown, Georgia Southern (Sr., G, Madison, Ga.)
Georgia Southern senior guard Tookie Brown was named Islands of the Bahamas Showcase Most Valuable Player after leading the Eagles to their first in-season tournament title since 2003. Brown averaged 20.0 points, 4.8 assists, 4.3 rebounds and 1.0 steal a game while shooting 55 percent from the floor and 76 percent from the free throw line in four games. In the three tournament games, he averaged 18.3 points, 5.0 rebounds and 5.3 assists while shooting 51.5 percent from the floor. For his performances, Brown was named National Mid-Major Player of the Week by College Sports Madness.
