FIU will play in the 2017 Gaspirilla Bowl against Temple

In Butch Davis’ first season as head coach, the FIU Panthers will head to the Gaspirilla Bowl where they will play the American’s Temple Owls.

This will be FIU’s third bowl game in school history, and first bowl game since 2011 when they played in the Beef O’ Brady’s Bowl. Of course, the Beef O’ Brady’s Bowl is now known as the Gasparilla Bowl so this will be their second appearance in this bowl.
