Foley, Ala. – The Coastal Carolina women’s soccer team scored three times in the first half to defeat Georgia Southern 4-1 in the Sun Belt championship semi-finals. Coastal will advance to its second consecutive Sun Belt final and will have a rematch with four-time defending champion, South Alabama.
The victory improves the Chants record to 11-7-1 while the Eagles fall to 8-9-2.
The Chanticleers struck first in the 10th minute for the 1-nil lead. Kayla Christian used a quick dribble past an Eagle defender on the left wing and hit the far post for the unassisted goal.
