DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Coastal Carolina claimed the second Sun Belt women’s golf championship in program history with a 36-hole total of 14-under par 562.
The Chanticleers were declared the victors at the 2021 Sun Belt Conference Women’s Golf Championship when the LPGA International Hills Course was deemed unplayable following three days of nearly-constant rain and over a four-hour lightning delay Tuesday.
Despite the way the tournament ended, Coastal Carolina head coach Katie Quinney was proud of her team’s performance throughout the championship, stating, “We actually had a really solid round on day one, so we weren’t discouraged.
