Coastal Carolina Scores First Power Five Win at Kansas

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Coastal Carolina made it two weeks in the row for a Sun Belt Conference team pulling off an upset of a Power Five conference school as the Chanticleers took down Kansas 12-7.

Junior running back CJ Marable accounted for both touchdowns with a 20-yard touchdown reception in the second quarter and an eigh-yard score on the ground in the third quarter.

The win gives the Sun Belt a win over a Power Five foe for the second straight week after Georgia State upset Tennessee on the road last week. The Sun Belt has two Power Five wins in the same season for the first time since 2012.
