Several conference championship matchups are set for the first week of December. And most ones that aren’t already in stone have seen at least one team punch a ticket. And then there’s the AAC Championship Game — the only league, along with the Mountain West, to be completely decided in the final week of the regulation.
The AAC Championship Game race dwindled down to three teams Saturday after SMU knocked off Memphis, 38-34, thus eliminating the Tigers from their first appearance since 2019. The remaining candidates are Tulane, SMU, and UTSA, which all sport perfect 7-0 conference records headed into the final week of the regular season.
