Boston College blasts UMass 55-21 in Bay State showdown

UMass broke out the all-white jerseys Saturday in time for their throwdown with Boston College. By halftime, they were best used for waving as a flag in full surrender.

The Eagles imposed their will, racking up 34 second quarter points en route to a 55-21 win at Chestnut Hill.

And it wasn't even that close.

Boston College sophomore quarterback Anthony Brown was impressive piloting the Eagles to seven first half scoring drives. Brown missed a handful of games last season due to injury.

Boston College also found plenty of success running the ball with AJ Dillon (98 yards on 20 carries) and Davon Jones (39 rushing yards on six carries and two touchdowns).
