The Board of Trustees at Appalachian State have approved the athletic department’s decision to extend the contract of Scott Satterfield as the Mountaineers’ head football coach. Satterfield has done a masterful job with the transition to the FBS. App State has immediately become one of the perennial powers in the Sun Belt. With a record of 28-10 since moving up from the FCS level, this was an easy decision to make. The Mountaineers are fresh off back-to-back double-digit win seasons and capped each of those of with Camellia Bowl victories.
