NEW ORLEANS – The 2019 regular season closed with the Sun Belt Conference volleyball postseason honors unveiled on Tuesday.
Coastal Carolina took home three of the top individual honors as sophomore outside hitter Anett Nemeth grabbed Player and Offensive Player of the Year honors and freshman setter Brigitta Petrenko garnered Freshman of the Year honors. Texas State received two individual honors, sophomore setter Emily DeWalt (Setter of the Year) and head coach Karen Chisum (Coach of the Year), while UTA redshirt junior libero Madelyn St. Germain was voted Defensive Player of the Year and Louisiana junior defensive specialist/libero Hannah Ramirez was selected Newcomer of the Year.
