Glen Johnson has signed a new deal which keeps him at Stoke City until the end of the 2018 season.
As reported by Sportsmail on Monday, talks had been at an advanced stage in recent days with the 32-year-old now having agreed a one year extension.
Johnson, whose existing deal was due to expire this summer, made his 50th league and cup appearance for the Potters in Saturday's 3-1 home win over Hull City and has been a regular in the starting line-up in recent weeks.
Having made 21 appearances in total this season, Johnson admits he had no hesitation in extending his Stoke career into a third year.
