Stoke City are closing in on a deal for Tottenham centre-half Kevin Wimmer, a source close to the London club has told ESPN FC.
Wimmer said his goodbyes to the Spurs players and staff after Sunday's 1-1 draw with Burnley, for which he was omitted from the matchday squad, and he left Wembley to travel to Stoke, who will pay £15 million for the Austrian.
West Brom also had a £15m bid accepted for Wimmer last week but he rejected the chance to join the Baggies.
Wimmer joined Spurs for £4.3m in the summer of 2015 from FC Koln and he impressed in his debut season at the club.
