Stoke City defender Marc Muniesa is in talks over a loan move to FC Girona in La Liga.
The 25-year-old joined Stoke from Barcelona but was restricted to just 11 appearances last season and is keen to play more regularly.
Girona, who are part owned by Pep Guardiola's brother Pere and are in partnership with Manchester City, want Muniesa for the season with view to making the deal permanent should they stay up.
Girona are due to play City in a friendly following their Premier League opener against Brighton and have already signed five City players on loan.
