Nick Powell scored twice to further reinvigorate Stoke's Championship play-off chances and ensure a miserable return to the Potteries for Luton boss Nathan Jones.
Steven Fletcher's opportunism set up the Potters' opener as he pounced on a slip by Sonny Bradley to race clear and square unselfishly for Powell to slot into an empty net.
Powell then took his tally for the season to 10 goals with a powerful header from Joe Allen's second-half cross to secure back-to-back wins for Stoke, who are four points off the top six in ninth.
Sam Clucas capitalised on another defensive mix-up to set up a simple third for Fletcher on an afternoon to forget for the Hatters and boss Jones, who spent an unsuccessful 10 months in charge of Stoke in 2019.
