Towering Socceroos defender Harry Souttar is back from injury just in time for the World Cup and has revealed the emotional story surrounding his recovery.
The Stoke City big man established himself as a mainstay in the Socceroos starting team during World Cup qualifications, but ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament playing against Saudi Arabia in November last year.
The 24-year-old was reportedly being targeted by EPL clubs Spurs and Everton at the time of the injury, but instead has spent 12 months getting fit for the World Cup.
