Liverpool have registered their interest in signing Xherdan Shaqiri from recently-relegated Stoke City, according to reports.
The Swiss international has a release clause in his contract, believed to be around £12m - £13.5m, which can be activated now that the Potters have lost their Premier League status.
Shaqiri has made it clear he will not be at the Britannia next season, but would 'love to stay in England'.
According to the Guardian, Liverpool are among a host of clubs in Europe who have targeted the former Bayern Munich winger, with Tottenham Hotspur and Southampton also understood to be in the hunt for his signature.
