Liverpool are 'closing in' on the signing of Stoke's Jack Butland for a world record fee of £40million for a goalkeeper.
According to the Mirror, the 24-year-old favours a switch to Anfield over a possible move to Arsenal due to his desire to work with Jurgen Klopp.
Butland has impressed for the Potters since coming back from injury and could well be England's No 1 at the World Cup this summer.
Stoke are resigned to losing their keeper, with Paul Lambert's side far from assured of Premier League survival.
