Leicester City have reportedly made a fresh approach to sign Australia centre-back Harry Souttar from Stoke City after the Potters turned down a $17.8m bid.
The towering defender caught the eye of potential suitors at the World Cup in Qatar last year, helping the Socceroos to reach the Round of 16 for the first time in 16 years.
Australia were knocked out by eventual champions Argentina but Souttar was a standout performer as Graham Arnold's men became the first Socceroos team to keep two clean sheets at the World Cup.
And according to Sky Sports, the Foxes have stepped up their interest in the 24-year-old defender with Brendan Rodgers keen to bolster his defensive options.
