EXCLUSIVE: Lee Grant upset as Manchester United make U-turn over offer of a new one-year contract with veteran goalkeeper now set to leave at the end of the season

Manchester United face another goalkeeper problem with third-choice Lee Grant upset because he feels the club have reneged on the offer of a new contract.

Grant expected to sign a 12-month extension but is now set to leave when his current deal runs out at the end of June.

Although the 38-year-old keeper has only made two appearances for United since arriving from Stoke City for £1.5million in 2018, he is a popular member of the squad.

Lee Grant's time at Manchester United appears to be over once this season is finished

United already face an issue with David de Gea this summer after their £375,000-a-week top earner lost his place to Dean Henderson.
