Real Betis have baulked at Stoke City's £3million asking price for Marc Muniesa.
The defender has struggled to make an impact under Mark Hughes this season, making just five Premier League appearances.
Real Betis have, as a result, expressed an interest in bringing the Barcelona academy graduate back to Spain during the current transfer window.
But, according to Mundo Deportivo, Betis have been put off by Stoke's valuation.
The Potters reportedly want £3m for the 24-year-old but that is out of the Spanish club's price range.
Betis are hoping Muniesa's transfer fee can be negotiated down but as of yet they have not been given any hope by Stoke.
