Burnley have completed the £1.5million capture of defender Phil Bardsley from Stoke, with the former Manchester United defender admitting he did not need much convincing to make the move.
Sportsmail revealed the Clarets' offer earlier on Tuesday and the deal has now been ratified, with Stoke receiving an initial £750,000 with the fee rising to £1.5m should certain performance-related add-ons be triggered.
The vastly experienced defender has signed a two-year contract, and returns to the club following a month-long loan stay with the then Championship club in 2006, in which he played six games.
