Oregon and Stanford meet Saturday in Autzen Stadium, and for the first time since 2008 neither team is ranked. But, since it’s Oregon-Stanford, it’s safe to still expect some fireworks. Here’s what to watch:
Bad offense vs. bad defense: Which one wins? One side features one of the country’s worst offenses (Stanford is ranked No. 120 nationally in scoring); the other features one of its worst defenses (Oregon is ranked No. 125 nationally in scoring defense). When viewed in the larger scheme of things, it’s hard to believe that this previously marquee matchup is suddenly a battle between two near-cellar dwellers in such key categories.
