It is elimination night on the Farm. This evening the Stanford Cardinal are at home after a tough loss to Washington State. Now they host the Washington Huskies hoping to return to the Playoffs. Stanford’s hopes of winning the Pac-12 North are riding on a win tonight against the Huskies. A loss eliminates the Cardinal from the Pac-12 race, a win muddies the waters but keeps them alive. For Washington, their hopes of both winning the Pac-12 and returning to the College Football Playoff make this an important game for them as well. Given how the first couple of Playoff rankings have gone it seems highly improbable that a Pac-12 Conference Champion with two losses will make the Playoff.
