SEATTLE -- The blank faces on the Stanford sideline in the fourth quarter of No. 10 Washington’s 44-6 win over the seventh-ranked Cardinal said it all.
What is going on?
Clearly, the players were a bit in shock. Most had their faces turned toward the Jumbotron at the East end of Husky Stadium rather than watch what was happening in front of them; perhaps that made it feel a bit more surreal, a bit more like watching a terrible movie instead of reality.
No Stanford team had lost that badly since USC defeated the Cardinal 42-0 in 2006.
