Let's rewind seven weeks. The Pac-12's positioning in the preseason AP poll looked like this: No. 7 Oregon, No. 8 USC, No. 13 UCLA, No. 15 Arizona State, No. 21 Stanford and No. 22 Arizona.
Six teams -- exactly half of the 12-team conference -- were ranked.
Less than two months later, the Pac-12's presence in the newly released AP poll is essentially unrecognizable by earlier standards: No. 3 Utah, No. 10 Stanford and No. 20 California.
Five of the six Pac-12 teams ranked in the preseason AP Top 25 are no longer there and Utah, the current top dog, didn't enter the mix until after Week 1.
