It’s unlikely that Stanford will be able to chase down the elite recruiting programs such as Alabama, Georgia and Ohio State in this class, and the Cardinal might not even finish with the top spot in the Pac-12, as USC could continue to extend its lead in that race. But come signing day, there might not be a program more pleased with its signees than the Cardinal.
Stanford’s 2017 class won’t exceed 15 members on Feb. 1, which will likely give the Cardinal one of the smallest classes in the country, but more than a few program will be glad to trade their haul for the prospects heading to Palo Alto.
