STANFORD, Calif. -- Stanford isn't accustomed to much signing day drama -- the university's academic admissions requirements generally translate into earlier commitments from their recruits -- and this 2016 cycle followed the familiar script. The Cardinal signed 26 players, with six hailing from the ESPN 300, to lock up the Pac-12's top-ranked recruiting class.
It's the first time since 2012 that Stanford has finished atop the conference rankings on signing day. The Cardinal's 2016 haul is ranked No. 12 nationally, also the best finish on The Farm since that 2012 cycle.
