Stanford Rips Washington’s Defense for More Yards than They’ve Ever Given Up Before

Prior to this game, the Washington defense had never given up a pass longer than 36 yards. Within one quarter of playing Stanford, though, they gave up a pass of 39 yards as KJ Costello connected with JJ Arcega-Whiteside to setup a goal line stand on the 1-yard-line. Two plays later, Bryce Love punched it in for the touchdown to tie the game 7-7 early in the second quarter:

Love also extended his FBS-best active streak of 11 games with a touchdown; the streak also ties a Stanford record (Toby Gerhart).
