Stanford University continued their march to the Women’s 2021 Pac-12 Tournament final, after beating Oregon State 79-45 in the semifinal round Friday in Las Vegas.
While the top-seeded Cardinal were favored coming in against the Beavers, following a tight opening quarter Stanford pulled ahead and once again rolled their opponent en route to victory.
The teams were close in the opening quarter, with Oregon State taking narrow leads, and they tied 13-13 through the first frame.
But Stanford started to exert their control on the game in the 2nd quarter, outscoring OSU 20-9, and entering the halftime break with a 33-22 lead.
