Stanford men’s basketball loses Travis indefinitely

In what seems to be a recurring problem for Stanford men’s basketball, another key player has been lost to injury. Just before the Texas game Wednesday night, it was announced that sophomore forward Reid Travis, the team’s leading rebounder, will be out indefinitely with a stress reaction in his left leg.

It’s not a fracture, but it’s not good. Travis started the first eight games and leads the team in rebounds (7.1 per game), ranks second in minutes (32.8) and is third in points (12.8). Grant Verhoeven will start in his place against the Longhorns.
