The Stanford Cardinal (2-1, Pac-12) suffered their first loss of the 2015-2016 season Thursday night, falling to the SMU Mustangs (2-0, American) 85-70.
2015 AAC Player of the Year Nic Moore and Ben Moore both posted 17 points for Southern Methodist, who won their first game against the Cardinal in a series that hadn't seen a matchup for over 17 years. Markus Kennedy added 14 points in just 17 minutes as a starter, while Jordan Tolbert chipped in 10 off the bench.
