With Utah beginning a fresh set of downs from the Stanford 2, many fans thought it almost inevitable that Stanford would lose the lead it gained at the end of the first half. Peter Kalambayi thought otherwise.
Facing a 3rd and goal from the Stanford 2, Kalambayi came up with a critical sack for an 11-yard loss that forced Utah to settle for only a field goal:
Because of Kalambayi, Stanford maintains a lead 16-13. This is Stanford’s 20th sack in just eight games.
