I took a sabbatical from writing. But even during my absence, a number of thoughts swam through my head. Here are a few:
- If you’re not watching the extraordinary resurgence of Stanford softball, you’re missing out. In 2016, Stanford went 0-24. From 2014-2016, Stanford only won seven games. Stanford hasn’t made the regional round since 2013. Now in 2018, Stanford is playing phenomenally. Stanford has the opportunity to end the regionals drought. I can’t wait to see them play next weekend against UCLA, one of the best teams in the country. Win or lose, Stanford has one of the best stories of 2018.
