A week after Keller Chryst’s sour outing against Oregon State, David Shaw turned the Cardinal offense over to KJ Costello, announcing the move on Twitter.
Costello led the Cardinal to wins over UCLA and Arizona State while Chryst was out with an injury. Costello then split time with Chryst against Utah, played limited snaps against Oregon, and then did not play at all against Oregon State.
This season, Costello is 43-67 passing for 492 yards and 4 touchdowns. He has zero interceptions and has scored two rushing touchdowns as well.
An excited Costello reacted on Instagram with the caption: “Time to work.
