Garnett takes out two Huskies on the same play

Seemingly every week a video clip of a Stanford football play goes viral. There was the crunching block by backup quarterback Keller Chryst against Arizona, and Francis Owusu’s touchdown catch while hugging a UCLA defender.

Now there’s the two-for-the-price-of-one blocking exploit by guard Josh Garnett against Washington. Garnett, who hopes to become an emergency-room physician, looked like he’s trying to give the local ER some work.

On a screen pass to fullback Daniel Marx last week, Garnett blocked defensive end Jaylon Johnson, throwing him to the ground. Moving downfield, he de-cleated safety Jojo McIntosh.

“How quick it went viral speaks for itself,’’ said tackle Kyle Murphy, who plays alongside Garnett on the left side.
