USC and Stanford are set to square off on Saturday, and while both programs are vastly different, they do share a certain similarity in recruiting. In a time when recruiting departments and recruiting staff numbers are steadily increasing at programs across the country, both USC and Stanford have kept their recruiting departments small in size.
In fact, both programs have five people dedicated specifically to recruiting at each school, but continue to produce results that translate to the field.
Both teams currently have five or fewer 2019 ESPN 300 prospects committed and neither is currently ranked in the top 20 classes, but those stats shouldn't cause any concern among their fan bases.
